Girldrive interviewee, accomplished jewelry maker, social activist, and my BFF Sadye Vassil, along with Chelsea Smith and Zoila Sylvester are having their first Ladies Leaders Lovers event this weekend in NYC.

Ladies Leaders Lovers is definitely Girldrive-ish: it’s “dedicated to building a multi-functioning network of diverse professional women. One event at a time.” The series is meant to spark creativity and collaboration between young women–I see it as a sort of answer to the sometimes-isolating nature of online networking. Like a real face-to-face sharing of ideas, which is getting rarer and rarer.

The event will have free bubbly and lots of artistic delights, including Sadye’s earrings (I have several pairs), jewels by Ariana, photos by Shoshana First, and Wholistic Beauty. Another Girldrive lady, Tecla, will be DJ’ing.
